Common questions

Everything worth knowing before you book — pricing, deposit, age, styles, and how a session works. Still unsure? Message the studio before you fill out the form.

  • 01 Does getting a tattoo hurt?

Some discomfort is normal and varies by placement, size, and your own tolerance. Bonier, thinner-skinned areas feel sharper; fleshier areas are easier. Most clients find a full session manageable with short breaks. Eat well and hydrate beforehand.

  • 02 How do I book a session with Amed?

Fill out the booking form with your idea and references. Amed replies within 48 hours with availability. A free consultation aligns the design, then a $300 deposit secures your date. Every piece is custom — there are no walk-ins.

  • 03 Is a deposit required?

Yes. A $300 non-refundable deposit secures your appointment and is applied to your final price. Rescheduling needs at least 24 hours’ notice or the deposit is forfeited. No-shows lose the deposit and need a new one to rebook.

  • 04 How much does a tattoo cost?

Work is booked by session — $1,500 for a full session, which typically runs 6–7 hours. How many sessions a piece needs is discussed at your consultation, based on size, detail, and placement.

  • 05 Do you tattoo flash or only custom designs?

Custom only. Every tattoo is drawn specifically for the body it will live on and is never reused. Amed does not tattoo flash, pre-drawn designs, or work copied from other artists. A free consultation comes before any deposit.

  • 06 What is the minimum age to get tattooed?

You must be 18 or older. A valid government-issued photo ID is required on the day of your session — no exceptions. Under Florida law, parental consent does not lower the age requirement.

  • 07 What tattoo styles does Amed specialize in?

Color, black & grey realism, and mixed styles — with a focus on custom, large-scale work. His architecture background shapes a structured, balanced approach so each piece sits naturally on the body.

  • 08 How far in advance should I book?

Amed works by appointment with a limited calendar — typically a two-to-four-week wait. For specific dates or travel plans, inquire early. Submitting the booking form is the first step.

  • 09 Where is the studio located?

165 NE 24th St, Miami, FL 33137, in Wynwood. The studio is private and by appointment only — no walk-ins. Parking is on-street, so allow a little extra time.

  • 10 How do I care for my new tattoo?

Amed finishes each piece with a second-skin film and gives you aftercare instructions. In short: leave the film on three to five days, then wash gently and keep it lightly moisturized. The full step-by-step is on the aftercare page.

  • 11 Do you offer touch-ups?

Touch-ups are handled case by case. If your healed piece needs minor attention, message the studio and Amed will advise. Following the aftercare guide closely is the best way to keep a tattoo sharp and avoid them.
